It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Angie, with her family be her side, at Markham Stouffville Hospital on October 17, 2025, at the age of 89.

Beloved wife of James for 54 wonderful years. Loving mother of Jason and Joseph. Cherished sister of Lydia Maria, Herminia, and Jose Eduardo, and predeceased by Moises, Cecilia, and Victor Franco. Angie will be fondly remembered by her many extended family members and dear friends.

Angie was the first in her family to immigrate to Canada from the Philippines in 1967, paving the way for many of her family who followed. She had a passion for cooking and gardening, and was a devoted Toronto Blue Jays fan who rarely missed a game. Angie was also a talented and creative soul—skilled in sewing, ceramics, and crafts—always keeping her hands and heart busy.

Her strong faith guided her throughout her life, sustaining her through every joy and challenge. A longtime member of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church and St. Therese Catholic Church, Angie’s devotion was a cornerstone of her life.

Above all, family was her greatest treasure. She found her deepest happiness in spending time with her loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October 23 from 6pm to 8pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Please join with the family for a Funeral Mass on Friday October 24 at 10:00 am at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, 690 King Street East, Oshawa. Cremation will take place following the Mass.
