MCBREARTY, Bibian Marie Ovilette McBrearty

It is with deep sadness and much love that we had to say goodbye to our cherished Bibian (Coulombe) McBrearty.

A woman of immense heart and unwavering strength, she passed away peacefully February 1, 2026, at Juravinski Hospital.

To know Bibian was to instantly love her. She possessed a rare, magnetic warmth that made everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She had a rare and wonderful gift for making people feel seen and heard, whether you met her as family, or as a friend. Bibian was the true heart of her family.

Daughter of the late Georges Coulombe and the late Bernadette Cloutier Coulombe. She shared a wonderful life of deep devotion with Bill, and was a steady anchor for her children, Michel (Donna), Danny, and Caroline (Steve). Her legacy of kindness and grace lives on through her grandchildren, Jennifer (Sean), Michael (Lindsy), Lisa, and Madison, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Emma, Evelyn, and Olivia.

Bibian’s warmth also reached back to her roots in Quebec, where she will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her large extended family. What many didn’t see was the warrior beneath her gentle surface. Bibian was strong; the kind of woman who faced life’s hardest seasons, without a word of complaint. She chose to focus her energy on the joy of her family rather than her own struggles, ensuring that those she loved always felt her light rather than her burden. She was a sanctuary for her family and a friend to everyone she met. Her quiet resilience and big heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all her family and friends.
