It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of John McClure on June 5, 2025. John died peacefully surrounded by his family.

Loving husband of Marion (Wilson) McClure, father of Heather (Geoff), Colleen (John), and Jackie (John). He is survived by his grandchildren, Sarah (Raed), Katelyn (Alex), John, George, Victoria, Christopher, Sofia, Ava, Tommy, and Emily (Riley), and great-grandchildren Olivia and Whit. Also survived by sisters-in-law Elaine (Frank †), Susan (John †), Judy (Gord), Barbara (Eugene), Marilyn, Carolyn, and Eleanor.

Predeceased by his parents Hugh Robinson and Sadie (Kew) McClure, brothers Robert, Paul, and Michael, and in-laws Jim and Helen Wilson. A lifelong resident of Brantford, John worked at the Brantford Expositor until retirement. He was an avid golfer and dedicated fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Pius X Parish, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road N. A private interment will follow in Elora, Ontario.

Donations may be made in memory of John to the Stedman Community Hospice.
