MCCULLOUGH, Richard Owens McCullough

Died suddenly at his home in Wasaga Beach on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the age of 67. Born in Northern Ireland, Rick and his family immigrated to Canada in 1973. Rick and Sandra spent most of their married life in Brampton where he enjoyed plying his trade of Master Carpenter and being the proud owner of Lagan Construction before moving to Wasaga Beach in 2016. He was a beloved and devoted husband to Sandra (nee McClement) for over 41years. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary and by his in-laws Bennie and Jenny. Dear brother of Rachel, Sally (Joe Ferreira), Roy (Karen) and George and the late Harry and the late Joe and brother-in-law of Brenda (the late John Lovell), Pauline (the late Doug Edwards) and Cindy McClement. Rick will also be missed by his canine companion Hamish, his numerous nieces and nephews, his many friends and neighbours. Rick was a kind and jovial man with a wonderfully cheeky sense of humour. Rick and Sandra became involved with the Klondike Park/Hometown community in 1984. He became the social convenor for so many events and functions, planning golf tournaments and fundraisers. Something that he loved to do. There was never a need for a special occasion to make it a special time with family and friends. He enjoyed golfing, darts and camping and Saturday mornings watching football and cheering on Manchester United. He will be dearly missed by so many whose lives he has touched. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. If desired, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation would be appreciated by Sandra.
