MCDOUGALL, Janet McDougall (Lemay)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janet McDougall (Lemay), age 73, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 5, 2025.
Janet was born in Quebec City and moved to Smiths Falls, Ontario at the age of 4.

She is remembered by her devoted husband Lee McDougall, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Janet will be dearly missed by her daughter Jacquie Blaney (Dwayne), and is predeceased by her son Neil McDougall (Geneva), whom she looked forward to reuniting with.

Cherished grandmother to Kennedy Blaney and Hunter McDougall, whose blue eyes will always be from their Granny. Janet is survived by her siblings Guy (Donna), Faye (James), Lynn (Cahl), Danny (Darlene), and extended family including many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents George and Phyllis Lemay, her brothers Larry (Linda), Dave (Terrie), and sister Karen (Tony).

Janet worked at Bell Canada for 34 years, loved dancing, sewing, darts, and cheering at rinks as a hockey mom and figure skating supporter. Her humour and energy lit up every room she entered.

A Graveside Service will be held on June 21st, 2025 at 11:00am at Wolford Rural Cemetery, 677-777 Kilmarnock Rd, Jasper, ON, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion, 7 Main St E, Smiths Falls, ON K7A 1A1.
