MCEACHERN, Lillian McEachern

A lifelong resident of New Sudbury, passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s Villa on March 7th, 2026, surrounded by her five children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was 97 years old.

Born on August 17th, 1928, Lillian built a life rooted deeply in faith, family, and community. She was the beloved wife of her late husband, Pat McEachern, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage and family life.

A devoted Catholic, Lillian was a long-standing parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in New Sudbury. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering. In 1954, she became a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada, where she devoted over seven decades to service, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

Lillian’s legacy lives on through her children Patrick McEachern (Catherine) of Estero, Florida, Donna Stringer (Edward) of Manitoulin Island, Karen Bouchard (Bob) of French River, Barry McEachern of Toronto, and Michael McEachern (Pam) of New Sudbury.

Lillian will be missed dearly by her grandchildren Thomas, Adam, Philip, Trevor, Stacey, Jamie, Jessica, Nathan, Maxwell, Hayleigh and Abbygayle. She is also survived great-grandchildren Luca, Noah, Bennett, Aili, Sophie, Emmet, Elliot.

She will be lovingly remembered for her gentle strength, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her influence continues through her grandchildren and great grandchildren, each carrying forward the values she instilled—kindness, resilience, and faith.

Her family finds comfort knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband, Pat, and that her long life of faith has brought her home.

Memorial mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Rd., Sudbury, on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, at 10:00am. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Civic Cemetery. Friends may gather at the church after 9:30am Wednesday.
