It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Jean Ann McEvoy, who left this world peacefully on August 19, 2025, at the age of 94.
Born on June 1, 1931, Jean lived a long, full life defined by compassion, humility, and service. She tirelessly gave to her community through years of dedicated volunteer work, quietly improving the lives of countless others with her time, kindness, and unwavering sense of duty. Her legacy is one of selflessness, strength, and love.
Jean was the beloved wife of Doug McEvoy, a wonderful husband and father. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and shared values ​​that will continue to guide generations to come.
She is survived by her sons Jim (Lorraine) and Jeff (Karen); her grandchildren Jamie (Alison), Meghan (Steven), Douglas (Yvonne), Jake (Rebecca), and Bailey; and her cherished great-grandchildren Charlotte, Izzy, Maverick, and Lainey. Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured her heart into every role she held—as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jean’s warmth, grace, and generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Visitation for Jean will occur at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home on Sunday, August 24th from 1:00-5:00 pm, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, ON with a Funeral Service being held on Monday, August 25th at 10:00 am at Christ Church Woodburn at 1307 Woodburn Rd, Hannon, ON. Reception to follow. Interment at Queenslawn Cemetery, Grimsby.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Team at Brantford General Hospital.
