It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Joseph McGovern announces the passing of a WWII Veteran at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the age of 93.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia Mary McGovern (née Treadaway). Loving father to Catharine (Bill) Imray and Michael (Eileen) McGovern. Cherished grandfather to Deanna Imray (Branden), Jordan Imray (Sasha), Paul McGovern (Jessica), and Kevin (Karen) McGovern. Great Poppy to Amilia, Thomas, Fredrik, and Quinn. Tom is predeceased by his brother Bill McGovern.

Tom was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion & The Knights of Columbus.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 200 Morrish Road, Scarborough, ON, at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society Durham Region in Tom’s memory.
