A man whose vibrant spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on the lives of many, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 27, 2025 at the age of 80. Terry was the loving husband of Evelyn O’Grady, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring life. His legacy lives on through his children, Kelly (Aaron Davison); Kathleen (Sean Crozier); and Bill (Julie Howard). Terry was a proud and loving grandpa to Kevin (Morgan) Crozier, Liam McHale (Sydney), Nic Crozier (Sydney), Seamus McHale (Jorja), and Andrew Davison. His great-granddaughter Maggie Crozier brought him immense joy in his later years.

A beloved brother, Terry will be forever remembered by his sisters Mary Ann (Philip Williams), Karen (Al Mallory), Jane (Bob Farnel), Jean (Larry Dick), and his brother Jim (Elizabeth) and brother in law Rob Egan. He was predeceased by his parents Martin and Angela,  sisters Marjorie Snow, Patricia Heins, Beverly Egan, and his brother John (late Rosie). Terry will be fondly remembered by the O’Grady family, his many nieces, nephews, god-children, the Hunt Camp gang and the entire Douglas Community.

Terry’s entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his community were evident throughout his career. He founded Bromley Farm Supply, a cornerstone of the local agricultural community, and later became the owner of the Douglas Tavern, where his friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure. His commitment to public service was unwavering, as evidenced by his many years as the respected Fire Chief of the Douglas Fire Department.

Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St S Renfrew on Tuesday September 30th  from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday from 1-3pm and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Church, Douglas on Thursday October 2nd at 10:30 am. Interment parish cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Groves Park Lodge Auxiliary and Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation.
