Diana “Diane” McInnis passed peacefully at University Hospital on May 18, 2025.

Predeceased in 2012 by her husband of 58 years, Dr. William P. “Bill” McInnis. She was also predeceased by her brother, Barry. Diana leaves behind her sons Peter (Nancy), David (Caroline), and Ian (Jennifer), as well as grandchildren Laura, Paul, Liam, and Kieran.

After training as a nurse at Toronto Western Hospital, Diane began her career at Beardmore Red Cross Hospital in northern Ontario. Following marriage, she worked at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, later moving to London, England while her husband completed his postgraduate studies in neurology.

Returning to Canada, Diane continued her work in healthcare at University Hospital in London, Ontario. A passionate patron of the arts, she volunteered with The May Court Club and the London Art Gallery (Museum London), and supported Theatre London, the London Opera Guild, and the Canadian Opera Company. She fondly remembered attending the Stratford Festival in its second year, in 1953.

A devoted animal lover, Diane welcomed many rescued pets into the family over the years. Special thanks to the caregivers at Fox Hollow for their attentive and compassionate care.
