In Loving Memory of Bradley “Brad” Laurence Dale McKnight
Passed away peacefully at the Haliburton Hospital on Friday, February 20, 2026 with his loving family by his side, at the age of 81.

Devoted husband of Shirley (nee Ruttle) for almost 60 years. Dear father of Chantelle Moffatt (Ken Elshaw). Loving grandfather of Joshua and Paige Moffat. Survived by his sister Vera Kernohan (the late John), sister-in-law Linda Kellett and predeceased by sisters Ruth Stamp (Morris), Lois Nesbitt (Chesel) and by brothers Lyle McKnight and Gary McKnight (Darlene). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Many describe Bradley as larger than life. He approached life with laughter and a smile and always having a kind word to say. His friends and family will remember him fondly as a fierce euchre player who wouldn’t let anyone get away with playing the wrong card. He loved to dance and in the early years of their marriage, he and wife Shirley would be out dancing the night away every weekend. When called upon, Bradley would always lend a hand or a bottle to a task or party. He was an avid reader and was the most loyal friend anyone could have.
His family would like to thank all the staff at Haliburton Hospital for the excellent care and support they provided in Bradley’s last days.

In keeping with Brad’s wishes, there will be no funeral and cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced.

Memorial Donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation (HHHSF) would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.
