McLachlan, Kenneth Marvin On May 13, 2025, Kenneth Marvin McLachlan passed away peacefully with family by his side in his 86th year.

Son of Margaret and Lawrence McLachlan. Ken was predeceased by his first wife Winnie (Twynstra) McLachlan (1987) with whom he shared many cherished years and built a strong foundation for their family, creating a home filled with love. Later in life, Ken found love again and married his devoted second wife Elva (Willsie) McLachlan, who remained by his side until her untimely death in 2011. Also left to cherish his memory is Willy, who held a very special place in his heart.

Ken is survived by his children Marvin (April), Karen Porciello (David), and Donna VanHooydonk (Ron). He is also survived by grandchildren Rachel (Travis), Mark, Christine (Blair), Jeremy, Julius (Nika), David Nicholas, Jakob (Victoria), Braeden (Mikayla), Andrea (Ethan), and Samantha (Brandon), and great-grandchildren Maverik, Lyle, Remi, and Leila.

He will be missed by his brother Duncan McLachlan and sister-in-law Libby McLachlan. Predeceased by his siblings Elizabeth (Neil) McKichan, Jack (Emily) McLachlan, Margaret (Leroy) Walker, Albert McLachlan, and sister-in-law Mary McLachlan.

Ken was born, raised, and spent his entire life in East Williams Township. He was born to be a farmer, and he did so up until 2021. He didn’t have many hobbies—his farm was his pride and joy and where he was the happiest.

A Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A private family interment to take place at Nairn Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson’s Canada, Autistic Advocacy Coalition of Canada, or a charity of your choice.
