McLEAN, Ronald John ‘Ron’ McLean – Obituary

McLEAN, Ronald John ‘Ron’ –  Formerly of Aberfoyle, passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital, surrounded by his family, in his 84th year. 

Beloved husband of 57 years to Barbara J McLean (nee Skerritt). 

Loved father of John McLean and his wife Joyce of Mount Forest, Maxine Woods and her husband Bruce of Fergus, and Bonnie Curle and her husband John of Campbellford. Cherished by his grandchildren Andrew, Cameron and Stuart McLean, Holly, Hannah, Caroline and Evan Curle, Grayson and Keayla Woods.  Dear brother of Bruce McLean and his wife Helen of Aberfoyle and their family. 

Predeceased by his parents John G. Jack McLean and Christina E. Tean McLean (nee Clark) of Badenoch and his infant grandson Callum Woods.  He will be missed by extended family and friends. 

Ron was a Charter Member of the Puslinch Volunteer Fire Department, a member of Campbellville Lodge No. 603, a lifetime member of Duff’s Church and an employee of the University of Guelph. 

Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Ontario, Friday (2-4 and 7-9 p.m.).  Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.

If desired, memorial contributions can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Kidney Foundation, the CNIB, or Duff’s Church.
