With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mom, Lu-Ann Gail McQuillan (née Campbell), at the age of 70 on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Lu-Ann is predeceased by her parents George and Iona Campbell and her infant brother Dale. She is survived by her loving partner Bob LaPlante, her children Crystal and Shaun (Sara) McQuillan, and her cherished grandchildren Cole and Caylee Blakely.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Brent (Annie) Campbell, their children Blair, Jody, and Christy and their families, as well as the extended Campbell, Lake, Morton, and McQuillan families.

Deep gratitude is extended to the compassionate staff of Kingston Health Sciences Centre, the Cancer Center of Eastern Ontario, and Providence Transitional Care Center. A special thank you to nurse Angela of Heritage 2 at PCH for her empathy and care during Lu-Ann’s final days.

Friends and family will be received at Trousdale Funeral Home on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025, followed by interment at Latimer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Care Hospital (Heritage 2).
