YOUNG, Melanie Catherine (nee OFILAN) – 

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Melanie Catherine Young (nee Ofilan) on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 9:27 p.m.

She was in her 40th year.

Loving wife of Kristian, beloved mother of Lucas and Ava, beautiful daughter of Dom and Virginia, thoughtful daughter-in-law of Karen and Ken. Greatly missed by sister Christine, brother- in-law James and nephew Isaac.

As a registered nurse in pediatrics, Melanie was admired by her colleagues for her dedication, passion and warm- hearted personality.

She was too young to be taken away from us, but her legacy and spirit will continue to be with us always.

She will forever be remembered in our hearts.

Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude and a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ida Ackerman at Sunnybrook Hospital, Dr. Waldo Jimenez at The Juravinski Hospital and their respective medical teams.

Friends and family will be received at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, 378 Wilson St. E., Ancaster, ON, on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be offered at 8 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11 a.m.
