MERV, Mervin Vincent Poppa Merv

After a life well lived, our beloved dad and poppa passed peacefully with his family by his side at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Thursday February 19, 2026 at the age of 93. Cherished husband of the late Shirley who predeceased him in 1985. Beloved dad of Sharon (Greg) and Terry (Cathie). Proud and loving Poppa of Jason (Holly), Lorraine , and great-poppa of Lillian, Lincoln and Elly.

Dear brother of Marilyn Johnson. Predeceased by his brothers Bernie (late Claudette), J.L ,  baby sister Mary Lynn and his long time friend Joyce Mason.  Mervin will be fondly remembered by his many nieces. nephews and friends.

Mervin will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a true outdoorsman. Throughout his career Mervin was an electrician working primarily for Ontario Hydro, construction division.

Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 301 Argyle St. S Renfrew on Saturday February 28th from 1-5pm. A private graveside service will be held at Rosebank Cemetery in the spring. Donations in his memory may be made to Dementia Society or the Ottawa Heart Institute.
