Anne Marie Deckers Meseure
September 16, 1933 – February 27, 2025
Anne Marie Deckers Meseure passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2025,
surrounded by most of her loving family, at the age of 91.
A longtime resident of King Crescent, Courtland, and formerly of St. Williams, Ontario,
Anne Marie was born in France. She and her husband, Amedee, came to Canada from Belgium in 1957.
They worked in the tobacco industry and later together at McConnell’s Nursery, Port Burwell.
Anne Marie is predeceased by her much-loved husband, Amedee (June 5, 2014).
She was passionate about gardening, enjoyed puzzling, and cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Peanut.
Most of all, she loved her family and found great happiness in their presence.
She was a loving “Meme” mother and mother-in-law of Lillian (Stefaan Remmerie) of Courtland,
and the late Bernard Deckers (survived by daughter-in-law Joanne Deckers) of Simcoe.
She is also survived by her son John Pierre Deckers of Langton.
Proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sister Rolande in Roeselare, Belgium.
Predeceased by her parents, Leon Meseure and Marie Louise (Vanhee) Meseure,
as well as her brothers and sisters in Belgium.
