MILLER, Andrew Robert Lawrence Miller

Andrew Robert Lawrence Miller passed away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, on Friday, April 4, 2025, after a brief illness, at the age of 44. He was deeply loved and will be missed by his parents, Gail Spackman and Don Miller, and his siblings Matthew Miller (Maria) and Lyndsay Nash (James), as well as his six beloved nieces and nephews.

Andrew is fondly remembered by his many friends, past and present—especially his lifelong and constant friend, Gary Blizzard. Despite the challenges Andrew faced, those who knew him will cherish the moments of connection, laughter, and adventure shared with him.

A seeker of new experiences and a lover of action, Andrew found happiness snowboarding, playing baseball or hockey, traveling, and spending time at the cottage. He was a compassionate soul, who often befriended and defended the vulnerable and lonely, even as he faced his own struggles.

Deeply loyal to his family, Andrew shared a special bond with his mother, siblings, and father. Many hours were spent in conversation and laughter—his sense of humour brought warmth and joy to those closest to him.

Andrew’s battle with addiction was one he fought with courage and honesty. While it often challenged those who loved him, he made consistent efforts in recent years to find healing—through rehab, his faith, work, and renewed purpose. His journey for freedom continued with resilience and hope, even to the end.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Andrew’s memory to Teen Challenge Canada, an organization close to his heart.
