It is with profound sadness that the family of Mary Mills announce the peaceful passing of our cherished mother. Our mother lost the love of her life, Cecil Mills on June 13, 2012, and has missed him dearly since. She will be happy to be reunited with her husband again. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Sheryl Foster (Darryl), Linda Mills, Cecily Gordon (Don), Jim Mills (Suzanne), Cecil Mills (Suellen). Doting grandmother to Stacey McCabe, Darryl Foster, Melissa Gruber, Jeremy Mooney (deceased), Megan Gordon Singh, Emma Grant, Michael Gordon, Madison Gordon, Jamie Mills, Krista Smith, Nathan Mills and Amy Matheson. Great Grandmother to Garrett and Natalie McCabe, Blake and Aiden Foster, Ava and Nathaniel Gruber, Trey and Teagan Grant, Theo and Noah Gordon-Singh, Lincoln and Luca Mills, Lochlan, Fletcher and Cormac Smith, Connor Matheson and Zander Wright. Mary is survived by her brother Gary Kerr (Linda deceased), her sister Marg Riley (deceased) and her favourite niece Maureen Davis and nephew Jarrod Kerr (deceased). Mary was happy to have a recent visit by her lifelong friend Marge McDonald and was grateful for Marge’s daughter, Catherine driving her from Port Hope for this heartfelt reunion. Mary’s happiest times was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was their biggest fan at all sport events. Mary’s favourite memories were spending their summer retreats in Tobermory at their beautiful camp. She also had wonderful vacations in Florida, Mexico and Las Vegas. The family celebrates Mary for being a wonderful matriarch and memories of her zest for life. Mary will be dearly missed. A private funeral will be held for family only. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Pathways Health Centre for Children or the charity of your choice (cheques only when donating at the funeral home please).
