MINIELLY, Marcia Louise Minielly
October 16, 2025
Passed away October 16, 2025. She had an incredible gift for making everyone feel special — never forgetting a single birthday and always showing up with a hug that made everything better. Beloved wife of Robert Minielly of 40 wonderful and cherished years. Loving and devoted mother of Sheina (Todd) Verstegen, Alyssa (Justin) Soetemans, and Craig Minielly. Proud Nana of Owen, Carson, Connor, Myles, Brennan, Declan, Alister, and Isla. Dear sister of Brad (Brenda) Bass. Sister-in-law of Norman (Janet) Minielly and Marion (John) Lennan. Marcia will be sadly missed and always remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and her many friends throughout her life.
Marcia dedicated her life to nurturing young minds as a beloved teacher with the Lambton-Kent District School Board, where her passion for education and mentorship left a lasting impact on generations of students. Outside the classroom, Marcia found joy in nature—especially at the Pinery with her family—cherished camping trips, particularly those spent with her grandchildren. Her love language was baking, and her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aroma of homemade treats, lovingly prepared for family gatherings she planned with care and thoughtfulness. Holidays were her favorite time, when her warmth and generosity truly shone. Known as the “Best Nana Ever,” Marcia’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, Thedford. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 11a.m. at the church, with a reception to follow.
