A resident of Ridgetown, Bob Mlynek passed away peacefully at Village on the Ridge on December 5, 2025 at the age of 97.

Born in Straznice,Czechoslovakia, Bob was the son of the late Tony and Rosie (nÊe Mikulkova) Mlynek.

Beloved husband of 73 years to Mary (nÊe Vyskocil).

Loving father to MaryAnn Brull (Peter), Pat Richardson (Bruce) and predeceased by son Jim Mlynek (Joyce).

Grandpa to Christie, Kelly, Kevin, Marcus and Katie. Great grandpa to Lawson, Madelyn, Harper, Chase, Frankie and Sonny.

Brother to Lillian Daniels (Gerard) and predeceased by brother Frank Mlynek (Dorothy).

Bob will be missed deeply by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bob came to Canada when he was a young boy. He came from a farming background and wanted to plant his roots and create a family with his loving wife Mary. They bought two separate farms on McLarty Line and lived, loved and raised a family for 60 years passing the knowledge and land on to the next generation. Bob was a field supervisor for the Blenheim Cherry Co-op and was transferred to Erieau come harvest season. Bob enjoyed fishing with his family, traveling with friends to Florida and Rock Glen, golfing and playing pool. He was part of the Knights of Columbus, becoming a third degree knight, he was dedicated to his community and loved to volunteer.

Bob’s wishes are to be cremated, until he can be reunited with the love of his life, where they will rest peacefully together at Evergreen Cemetery.

Donations made in memory of Bob to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
