MOELLENKAMP, Karen Mary Moellenkamp
February 24, 2026
Passed away peacefully after facing dementia with quiet strength for many years.
Survived by her loving husband of 55 years,Β Gerhard (Gerry) Moellenkamp; her children,Β Mary Beth MoellenkampΒ andΒ David Moellenkamp and his wife, Zoya Ipek; her cherished grandson,Β Zade Moellenkamp; and her brother,Β Frank Mahoney.
Karen was a woman of strength, compassion, and quiet determination. A dedicated nurse, she devoted her career to caring for others and later taught at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University) before choosing to focus on raising her family. A deep belief in community service led to generous involvement as President of the Mississauga Figure Skating Club and as a volunteer with Skate Ontario competitions.
Above all, family was at the heart of Karenβs life. She encouraged her children in every dream and endeavor, instilling in them the belief that anything is possible with hard work and courage. Time spent with her grandson Zade brought immense joy, and every milestone was treasured.
The family extends sincere thanks to the entire care team for their compassion, dedication, and support.
