MONACO, Rosa Del Monaco (née Taglieri)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosa Del Monaco on Monday, June 30, 2025, in her 87th year.

Beloved wife of the late Emilio for 53 wonderful years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Anna Maria and Vince Martorelli, Francesco and Daniela, Joseph (predeceased) and Claudette, Tony and Antonia.
Cherished nonna of Peter, Christina (Mark), Nicole (Angelo), Vanessa, Robert, Adrianna, Erica, Mariangela, Gabriel, and Michael. Adored bisnonna of Leonardo.

Rosa was the dearest sister-in-law of the late Nino and Lina Del Monaco. She was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Maria Taglieri (née Cesaroni), and by her in-laws Francesco and Maria Del Monaco (née DiFonte). Rosa will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in both Canada and Italy.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lino Lagrotteria for his many years of dedicated care and compassion.

Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, 43 Barton Street East (near James), on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
