MONTREUIL, David Montreuil

With heavy hearts the family of David Montreuil would like to announce his sudden passing at his home on Friday Nov 7, 2025.

Loving and caring husband of 56 years to Sharon Montreuil and proud father of his only daughter Andrea (husband Kevin Lemire). David was the only child of Joseph and Lena Montreuil (both pre deceased).

The two most special people in his life are his grandsons Cameron and Nathan Lemire. With them he shared his knowledge of sports and revelled in their intense conversations about hockey and the Blue Jays.

David grew up in Mattawa where he met his high school sweetheart, Sharon. His hockey talents brought him to Colgate University (New York) and eventually to St Mary’s Hospital in Timmins where he worked in Finance until 1997. He was well known in the local hockey and softball communities for his athletic abilities and more recently his time spent volunteering.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 13, 2025 at 10:30 am in the chapel of LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre.

A reception to follow from 12 (noon) to 2pm at the Social Venue, 27 Maple St. South, Timmins.
