MOORE, Aldon Earl Moore

Passed by the love of his family, Aldon died peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay. He was 91 years old.

Aldon was the beloved husband of Marlene (Fleming) of Golden Valley. They would have celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on October 29.

He was the much-loved father of the late Karen (1955-1960), Elaine (the late Larry Gregoris) of Powassan, Mitchell of Delft, Netherlands, Danny of Golden Valley, Duff of Drayton and Jeff (Sheri) of Powassan; and will be lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren: Joseph, Jesse, Deanna, Francis, Maeghan, Merrick, Sam, Brittany, Max, Braeden, Madison, Brooklyn and Connor; and seven great-grandchildren: Emerson, Daphne, Wynter, Wyllow, Lark, Teddy and Lainey.

Aldon was the dear brother of Wayne Moore (Lene) of Guelph and Wendell Moore (Darlene) of Golden Valley. He was predeceased by his parents Hazel (Clapperton) and Wendell Moore, and by his siblings Ferne Odorizzi (the late Don) and Romer Moore.

Aldon worked as a heavy equipment operator in the lumber industry, and in retirement, became a full-time farmer. He was a life-long member and trustee of St. Paul’s United Church in Golden Valley.

The Moore family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 24 at St. Paul’s United Church, Golden Valley, at 11:00 am. and will be live-streamed (see link below). Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Golden Valley.
