MORAND, Pauline Morand

She passed peacefully, surrounded by family on April 8, 2026. She has now gone from being full of life to enjoying eternal life. We rejoice that she is with her Lord and Saviour. Loving mother to the late Clare, Michelle (Tom Toole), Margo (Jim Yanchula), Catherine (Marcus Girgis), Therese (Benny Santoro), Charlie (Karen) and Denise. Adored Mémé to Sidney (Dan), Samuel, Mateja, Micah (Lyric), Sophia, Milo, Quinn, Levi and the great-grandmother of Makaiah. Predeceased by her parents, Walter and Claire Laforet and her brother Robert Laforet. Survived by her sisters-in-law, Arlene Laforet and Claudette McLenahan. Pauline Morand will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, friends, neighbours and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Being at her kitchen table with others, where she loved, laughed and listened, was one of her favourite places to be. Pauline was a devoted Catholic and leaves behind a legacy of a faith-filled life. She was born and died in Stop 26 in Riverside and was proud of her family’s history in the area. Her caring nature led to a career in nursing, volunteering and serving her community.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL at 11677 Tecumseh Road East, Windsor (519-253-7235). Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:30 pm. Prayers at 3:30 pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 10:30 am at St. John Vianney Church at 385 Dieppe Street, Windsor. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
