MORRISON, Anthony Vincent “Tony” Morrison

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Tony Morrison of Mount Brydges, who left us suddenly at University Hospital on Friday, July 11th, 2025, in his 59th year.

Tony was a devoted husband to Jill Johnston and proud father to Madelyn, Cooper, and Beatrice. Whether he was cheering them on or offering steady guidance through life’s ups and downs, Tony was always a calm and constant presence.

Survived by his sister Bernadette (Jim), many nieces and nephews, his sisters-in-law Marnie (Kevin) and Leslee (Steve), and his in-laws Keith and Phyllis. Predeceased by his parents Vince (2018) and Phonsine (2025).

Raised in Waterloo, Tony later moved to London and then Mount Brydges, where he dedicated 30 years to a career in policing before retiring in 2019. Beyond his family, his greatest joy and accomplishment was building his log cabin in the woods, a place filled with countless treasured memories.

Family will receive friends at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges, on Tuesday, July 15th from 2–4 pm and 6–8 pm. The Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held on Wednesday, July 16th at 11:00 am with Rev. John Bannerman officiating.

Due to allergies, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM SENDING FLOWERS. Instead, consider donations in memory of Tony to Friends of Hulett (PO Box 1520, Clinton, Ontario N0M 1L0, www.hulettmarsh.com) or to Ducks Unlimited Canada (PO Box 1160, Stonewall, Manitoba R0C 2Z0, www.ducks.ca).

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Elliott-Madill Funeral Homes.

And miles to go before I sleep.”
