MORTON, Janet Morton

Passed away peacefully at Butternut Manor, Uxbridge on Tuesday December 9, 2025 at the age of 84 years. Loved and missed by her husband of 64 years; Floyd Morton. Cherished Mom of Grant (Elizabeth), Kevin and Catherine Morton (Kenneth). Also remembered by her siblings David McTavish (Elizabeth), Laurie Stevenson (Ron), Rob McTavish (Debbie) and Sue McTavish (Ron), sister-in-law Sally McTavish and brother-in-law Larry Barton. Predeceased by her sisters Heather Topp (Fred) and Donna Barton and brothers Sandy and Donald McTavish.

Janet lived her entire life in Uxbridge the town she loved. She spent many years working at Uxbridge Secondary School, where she got to know so many students and staff and always seemed to have a friendly word for everyone. She adored spending time with her big extended family, and those gatherings were some of her happiest moments. In retirement, she and her husband hit the road in their camper, exploring Canada from coast to coast. When she was home, she enjoyed the simple pleasures—watching the birds and squirrels in the backyard and settling into her cozy living room to watch curling.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge on Wednesday December 17, 2025 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date.
