MOYLAN, Barbara Moylan
November 25, 1953 - December 4, 2025
She now gets to spend her time with her family members already in Heaven – her mother Annette (Aubin)(1992), her father Clarence (1971), her sister Patricia (2012) and her brother Michael (2013). Any conversation with Barb would involve a cherished memory of each of them. Her mother is probably already raising her voice at them as they intentionally rattle her cage.
While Barb may have left us on the coldest day of the year so far, she was born on the unseasonably warm morning of November 25, 1953 in North Bay, Ontario. The third of four children in her family, she spent her early years in North Bay before moving to Timmins in 1962. There, she attended Queen Elizabeth Public School, Central Public School and Timmins High and Vocational School. She went on to build a career as an administrative assistant at various offices in Timmins while raising her family.
She enjoyed working in her prized vegetable garden that seemed to get bigger every year. A few of us were lucky enough to share in its bounty. She was also known to enjoy the odd trip to a warm locale when things got too cold at home. Barb was an avid outdoorswoman who enjoyed ATV excursions as well as hunting and fishing.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband Bruce Quaisser, her brother Steve (Jenny), her son Corey (Sylvie), her daughter Hailey and her daughter Jannah. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Fiona, Riley, Tucker, Carter, Cody, Presley, Greyson, Coleman, Miley and Maisie. Her brother-in-law Robert Cote and sister-in-law Barbara will forever remember her for the many chaotic visits that ensued when she was around her siblings. Barb will be missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as her many friends that she spoke so highly of.
Despite enduring many health issues in the last decade, Barb was known to all as a fun person to be around. Her infectious laughter and her bad jokes will be missed as will her smile.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and aides that cared for her over the years. You listened to her, made her comfortable and ensured that she didnβt feel invisible. She really appreciated all of you.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society and The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation were all causes close to Barbβs heart. Any donations directed to them in her memory would be appreciated.
βGiving up doesn’t always mean you are weak. Sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go.β ~Author Unknown
You were a strong woman Barb. Rest easy knowing that you let go when the time was right for you. We will carry on and remember you for the incredible person that you were.
