MOYNES, Elgin Moynes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Elgin Moynes.  Elgin was predeceased by his wife of over 70 years, Velma (Carman), as well as his parents, Earl and Grace (Blackburn); also predeceased by brothers Harold, Ken, Gordon, and Blake, and his sister Helen (Brohm).  Survived by sons Laurie, David (Elizabeth), and Richard.

Elgin worked many years for Ontario Hydro (later Hydro One), and during his down time, he enjoyed fishing and golf; hopefully the ponds are well stocked where he’s going, and the golf courses have no sand traps or hazards.

As per his wishes, Elgin has been cremated.  There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, March 16 at 11:00 at Omond Memorial United Church, 319 McKenzie Ave in North Bay.
