Murray Megit passed peacefully, in his 90th year, in Costa Rica on Wednesday morning, June 21, 2023.

 

With the miracle of technology, he was surrounded by his loving family in Canada, as well as his family and loved ones at his side in Costa Rica.

 

He will be well remembered for his kindness and charismatic personality, as well as his active role in the food industry in Canada and the Probus community.

 

Murray was a beloved husband of Joanne Megit, with whom he was married for 60 years; father of three children, Michael, Scott and Janet; and grandfather to Alex, Erica, Austin, Emily, Rachel and Benjamin.

 

A celebration of life will be held in October in Oakville, Ontario. Details will be sent at a later date.
