Peacefully passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 75 surrounded by her loved ones. Born on November 7, 1950, Rose lived a life marked by her dedication to her family, her passion for education, and her infinite capacity for caring.

Rose was predeceased by her parents Cyril and Anna (nee Dhaene) VanStevendaal

A proud graduate of Western University, Rose became a beloved teacher, shaping the lives of countless students over her 35-year career. Her classroom was a place of warmth and encouragement, where every child felt seen and valued. Rose’s legacy as an educator is etched in the hearts and minds of those she taught, as well as in the educational community that respected her deeply.

Rose’s love story with her best friend and husband, Dan Musch, was one for the ages. Married for almost 55 years, they built a life filled with laughter, shared dreams, and unwavering support for one another. Their partnership was a testament to the power of love and companionship. Rose was the cherished mother to Dione Hussey (Corey) and Rob Musch (Kathy), who both inherited their mother’s kind spirit and loving heart. She took immense joy in her role as a parent, guiding her children with a gentle hand and a listening ear.

The role of grandmother was one that Rose embraced with every fiber of her being. Her grandchildren, Brock (Hayley), Aiden (Lidiya), Ashley, and Owen, were the light of her life. Rose’s eyes twinkled with pride at every milestone and achievement, and she was a constant source of comfort and joy in their lives.

Rose’s presence was a soft and nurturing force in the lives of all who knew her. She approached each day with a loving heart and a kind soul, leaving a lasting impact on her family, friends, and the many students she guided through the years. Her gentle spirit will be profoundly missed, but the love she shared will continue to blossom in the lives of those she touched.

As we bid farewell to Rose, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, compassion, and an abundance of love. Her memory will forever be a guiding star for her family, a reminder of the beauty and grace that can be found in the simplest acts of kindness. Rose’s story is one of love’s enduring power, and she will be remembered with fondness and admiration by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
