MUXLOW, Daniel Alfred Muxlow

Peacefully, with the ones he loved most by his side at Strathroy Hospital, on Friday, October 10th, 2025.  Daniel Alfred Muxlow of Watford at the age of 69.  Dan will be forever missed by his wife and best friend for over 50 years, Cheryl “Pookie” (Stewart).  Dan and Cheryl have had a wonderful life together.  Full of love, laughter, friends and family.  If you lived in Watford, you knew Dan.  His smile and laugh were infectious and he always made everyone he met feel welcome and befriended.

Dan was the proud father of Kristen (Jon Canning) and Kimmie and of course, his beloved grandchildren, who called him “Papa”; Avery, Makenna, Aria and Riha.  Dear brother of Gary (Liz), Charlene (Gary) Tait and twin brother Darcy (Sandy).  Dan was the brother-in-law of Gerry (Barb) Stewart, Penny (Vin) Prout and Rick (Patsy) Stewart.

Dan is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

Predeceased by his parents; Wilfred and Elsie Muxlow as well as his in laws; Lloyd and Lois Stewart.

Dan spent 38 years in the Lumber Business in Lambton County but was better known as the Watford Man of All Trades.  He loved to be out with his friends and family in the bush, hunting.  He taught his girls and grandchildren to love and respect nature.

Dan’s family would like to welcome you to join them in celebrating Dan’s life on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 from 1-4 pm at the Watford Legion.

In memory of Dan, and in lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Verspeeten Cancer Research at London Health Sciences Centre or a charity of your choice.  Dan was a thoughtful man.  One of his last acts of kindness was to contribute to the research department at LHSC so that others might have a chance to kick cancer’s ass.

A special thank you to Dr. Xenocostas and his team as well as the special nurses on the 7th floor for the care and compassion given to Dan and his family during his 2-year journey of health, occasionally healing and a whole lot of hope.
