FORGACH, Myrna Monicka (nee IRMA HOSSO)   – 

December 8, 1925 – July 17, 2023

Our beloved “Auntie Irma” passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 17, 2023, surrounded by loving family and caregivers at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital. She was 97.

Myrna was predeceased by her husband, John Forgach; and son, John Jr. Forgach.

Also by father, Kornel Hosso; mother, Gizella Hosso; and brother, William Hosso (Mary).

She will be sadly missed by nieces, Carol Siklis (Dara) and Linda Hosso (Philip); great-nephew, Justin Siklis (Karen); and great-great-nephew and niece, Woody and Nola. Myrna’s varied musical talents were developed and performed in her birthplace, Hungary, and throughout the U.S. and Canada.

As an opera virtuosa and longtime member of Schevchenko mandolin orchestra, she was an inspiration to many. Myrna enjoyed much comfort and camaraderie living at Christie Gardens, and made it her home for 22 years.

As per Myrna’s wishes, the family will be holding a private service at a future time. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the palliative care unit at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital.
