NEE, Patricia Brode nee

Our beloved mother has left our world. Patricia Brode (Dame) 1925-2025. November 07, 1925 – September 06, 2025. After a long earthly life of one hundred years, surrounded by loving family first her parents Harry and Anna Dame, brothers Leonard, Theodore, sisters Theresa, Kathleen, and Bernadette, all deceased. Then, Patricia created a loving family of her own with Joseph A. Brode (1976). Children, Cheryl(Sherry) Thomson (Mike 2024), Donna DeMarco(Frank), Janice McClelland (Andrew), Kevin Brode (Nancy) and Karen (2015). Grams/Great Grames will be profoundly missed by grandchildren Christopher, Kathryn, Ian, Erin, Joey, Jeffery, Frank, Andrew, Kristen, their spouses Kristy, Tina, Lana, Melissa, Angela, and Rob, and great grandchildren Jonah, Grayson, Janosch, Lucia, Edda, Dylan, Kyle, Nathen, Brayden, Hailee, Raymond, Hunter, Fisher, Amelia and Elio. Countless, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat always supported and encouraged her family in all their endeavours. Her loving support and open heart is dearly missed. Pat kept an active lifestyle, after retirement as manager at Penningtons in Tecumseh Mall by going to a gym four days a week, and was the ever present patron at any local establishment featuring music and good times till just a few years ago. She experienced travels to Australia, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Hawaii, Mexico, family cruises and Florida stays. Pat attended numerous recitals, and sporting events to support children, grandchildren and then great grandchildren. A dedicated Catholic, regularly attending Mass and church functions, in later years with her sister Bernie and friends, where the parish priest called them the Golden Girls. Pat’s loves were coffee, music, especially swing and big band, and all the dance moves that goes with it. Other favourite past times were bingo, the casino and attending musical theatre presentations, and watching tennis. It is sad to say goodbye, but the life lessons she taught us, and wonderful memories of our blessing of so many years being gifted with her earthly presence will sustain us as we carry on, and move forward to fulfill the dreams she had for us, and to try to live an exemplary life, like she demonstrated daily. A life filled with human kindness and a gentle fun loving spirit, and a heart full of love for life, and the Lord.

The family wishes to recognize the support of friends and family, especially dedicated caregivers Miss Vivian, and Rossan. Also, Home Instead, and Paramed.
