Clark NeilCLARK, Neil   –  In Memorium It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Neil Clark on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Toronto General Hospital (TGH).

 

He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and memories that will be cherished by those who knew him.

 

Neil is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Beverley Anne Clark; his children, Greg (Yvonne) and Kathryn (Philip); and his grandchildren, the lights of his life, Aiden, Reese, Ella, and Miles.

 

Born in Burlington, Ontario, to Luella and Norton Clark, Neil’s dedication to his family was unwavering.

 

Neil is survived by his younger brother, Gordon Clark (Doreen). He was predeceased by his brothers, Wayne Clark and Roy Clark.

 

Throughout his distinguished career in publishing, Neil made significant contributions, culminating in his role as Senior Vice President at the Toronto Star and serving on the Torstar Corporation Board of Directors.

 

His interests were vast and varied, ranging from travel and aviation to reading, genealogy and cross-country skiing.

 

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the medical and nursing teams at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, and Toronto General Hospital, with special thanks to the palliative care team at TGH for their exceptional kindness and outstanding care.

 

In honour of Neil’s memory, a private celebration of life will be held by the family.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, Ontario (www.camh.ca).
