Peacefully passed away on July 14, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in her 65th year.

Beloved wife of Don Taylor. Loving mother of Barb (Derrick), Dana (Al), Genevieve, the late Joe, Lisa (Lee), Robert (Ashlea), Stephanie (Danny), Amanda (Andy), and Tara (Adele). Cherished and favourite Nanny to 19 grandchildren, who were the loves of her life. Dear daughter of Gladys and Harold ‘Bud’ (predeceased), step-daughter of Bill (predeceased) and sister of Kirk (Krystyna) and Janice (the late Barry).

Karen was a multi-talented soul, whose gifts touched everyone around her. A gifted musician, artist, and poet, she poured her heart into everything she did. As a skilled carpenter, she built not just with her hands but with love and care. Known for her kindness and generous spirit, she was a mom to many – always ready to lend a hand.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 2-3:30 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa).
