It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Christopher “Chris” Gary Nicholls on August 11, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife Kelly (Barr), children Colby, Miley, Easton, and stepchildren Hannah and Emily. Chris will also be dearly missed by his parents Tom and Kelly Nicholls (nee Hetu) and fondly remembered by friends, colleagues, and trailer park neighbors. He was predeceased by his cherished grandmother Ashton.

Born in Bancroft and raised in Mink Lake, Chris developed a lifelong love of the outdoors, which inspired his career as an arborist. He worked for many years with Hydro One and was an active member of several volunteer fire departments. Known for his BBQing, outdoor cooking, and maple syrup production, Chris shared his passions generously with those around him.

Visitation will be held at Barker Funeral Home & Chapel, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, between 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
