NICKERSON, Wayne Nickerson

At Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound on Friday, January 16, 2026, Wayne Gordon Nickerson passed away peacefully at the age of 83. Wayne was born on April 27, 1942 in Halifax, NS.

Beloved husband of Donna Nickerson (nee Jackson) of Owen Sound. Loving father of Drew Nickerson (Starlet) of Miramichi, NB, Tracie Oswald (Malcolm) of St. Thomas, ON and Travis Nickerson of Moncton, NB. Cherished grandpa of Ashley, Erin (Eddie) and Cole (Ashley). Proud great grandpa to Theo. Dear brother of Deanna Chute (Joe) of Halifax, NS and Elaine Nickerson of Halifax, NS. Dear brother-in-law to Iona Donnelly, Debbie Ollerton (Colin), Sherry Dickert (Rick) and Lori Jackson (Lance). Wayne will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Delphine Nickerson, parents-in-law Alfred and Marie Jackson and brothers-in-law Ken Chute and Wayne Donnelly.

Wayne enjoyed taking time to build 3D models – both plastic and wooden. He loved diamond painting and spending time and sharing love with his many pets, most recently Sophie and Buffalo Bill Cody.

In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Shiloh Cemetery.
