NOBLE, Robert Alexander Noble

He was passing in the early hours of January 30, 2026, was unexpected. But, at age 91 his body could not cope with a severe illness diagnosed two days earlier. After two days at Uxbridge Hospital with excellent care, he was comforted on his final journey with wife Yvonne at his side. A few days before, still strong as an ox, he was outside at home insisting he help Gerry with shoveling the snow – that was Bob! He will be missed.

Born November 1,1934 in Uxbridge, Bob spent most of his years in the town working for local businesses (Williamson Motors, Noble Transport, Dominion Auto) and was a dedicated volunteer of the Uxbridge Fire Department for over 25 years. Bob had a big heart. He was generous with his time for his extended (and very large) family, his many friends and several charities. Bob was an honoured recipient of the 100+ milestone for blood donations.

Bob and Yvonne Barton married in 1956 and they enjoyed 70 years of happy marriage. Together they successfully raised a family of four; Joanne (Ron Pitts), Gerry (Nancy Freeman), Judy (Ian Gordon) and Christine. Six grandchildren followed: Katie Joslin (Derek), Jacquie (Richard Perks), Colin (Diana Boyd), Jason Gordon, Tracy Jans (Kevin), and John-Robert Gordon (Sam Warren). To date eight great-grandchildren have been added to his clan.   Pre-deceased by daughter Judy, and parents Alexander and Lila (McCallister), sister Barbara (Norman O’Donnell), and brother Cecil (Jean Osborne).

Relatives and friends are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge on Saturday February 21, 2026, from 1:00 – 5:00 PM.  Visitation from 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. Reception to follow.
