NORDINE, Bryan Nordine

Our beloved ‘Papa’ fulfilled his great calling to his family, and the Lord has taken him home on January 19, 2026.  Bryan was 75 years old.  Born December 14, 1950, in Vancouver, BC, to Carl & Emma Nordine.  Bryan leaves behind two sisters, Karlla Dion (Paul) and Cheryl Van Oene.

Bryan is survived by his devoted wife Rosanne of 51 years and 5 sons; Malachi (Nicole), Uriah (Mollyo), Abraham (Eniko), Solomon (Lisa), and Joshua (Charissa).  Between the sons, Papa had 21 much-loved grandchildren.

Bryan was a supporter and advocate of Christian education, the Pro-Life movement and various charities.  In 2003, Bryan suffered an ascending and descending aortic dissection. He was given 20 minutes to live and a 1-2% survival rate.  By the grace of God, the prayers of many were answered that day, and Papa was given another 22 years instead.  Papa used those years to love his family and grow in his faith with Jesus.

As a young man, Bryan owned a logging company in Hope, BC.  By 1985, Bryan moved to Kelowna to raise his growing family.  Bryan was a CGA by trade and known locally under Nordine & Co.  Bryan pursued various business ventures over the years.  It was Bryan’s eternal optimism, cheerful outlook and kindness to people that continues to inspire friends and relatives.  Bryan enjoyed many hobbies from hot rods, to flying airplanes, to playing guitar, to making movies.  “Walter Jones, PI“, a 90-minute family-friendly film on YouTube, became an instant hit with the grandkids and demonstrates Bryan’s foresight.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bryan’s memory to Kelowna Right to Life Society.

A Memorial Service, with Pastor Keith Reisdorf officiating, will be held on SATURDAY, JANUARY 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM (PST), at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service, a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter. A reception will be held following the service at Springfield Funeral Home Family Centre. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna.
