EVANS, Norma Ann Evans
August 31, 1942 - January 1, 2026Passed peacefully at Marigold Hospice Care on January 1, 2026, surrounded by love and family.
Norma was the steady heart and matriarch of our family – kind, witty, clever, quietly strong, and always caring for others before herself. A proud Welsh woman with a sharp mind, she was endlessly generous with her love and believed deeply in the best of everyone she met. After many years as an accountant, Norma will be remembered for service to her community including: Bowmanville Older Adult Association (BOAA), Community Care Durham Programs – Meals on Wheels and Friendly Visitors, along with the Annual Clarington Polar Bear Swim to name a few.
She found joy in simple comforts, good friendships, family traditions, and the small moments that truly matter. Norma touched many hearts and was known to make friends wherever she went.
She was married for 48 wonderful years to her late husband, Peter. Norma was a loving sister to Joan (Rhys) and a devoted mother to Joanne (Fred), Stephen (Lisa), and David (Jacquie), and proud Nan to Darren (Samira), Chelsea (Thomas), Mitchell, A.J., Matthew, Kaitlynn, Brodie, Ryleigh, Callum, and Logan. Her heart overflowed with joy for her great-granddaughters Elena, Sophie, and Kizzy, who brought her endless smiles.
Norma will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, ‘cwtches,’ and the way she made everyone feel truly cared for. Her unconditional love will continue to ripple through generations.
