It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the sudden passing of Marek Nowak on June 16, 2025 at the age of 71.

Born in Kraków, Poland, Marek spent the first half of his life in his homeland before moving to Canada, where he continued building a life full of adventure, hard work, and deep devotion to his family. Marek was many things—funny, stubborn, caring, and always up for a debate. He had a generous heart, and was always the first to lend a hand.

Marek was a true craftsman, proud owner of his own upholstery business. Whether fishing, camping with his family, or traveling the world with his wife, Marek embraced every opportunity for adventure. He especially loved the open road, most memorably a road trip across Canada with his wife and beloved dog, Krakus.

Marek leaves behind his loving wife Urszula, his daughter Alicja, his brother Jozek, and his sister Marysia. He is predeceased by his beloved son Darek, his brother Wojtek, and his parents, Maria and Władysław.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Assumption Catholic Funeral Home, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga, Ontario.

A Memorial Mass will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Eugene de Mazenod Church, 1252 Steeles Ave W, Brampton, ON. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
