It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our precious and deeply loved Bill Orlak Jr., on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Much cherished and beloved husband of Sharon Orlak. Dear son of Bill Sr. and Theresa Orlak (both predeceased). Cherished brother of James Orlak, much loved brother-in-law of Marc and Jill MacDonald.
Bill was a very kindhearted, family-loving and generous person, as all his family and friends knew. He lived in Sudbury most of his life and was a Counselor with the Futures Program at Cambrian College. Bill had received his Ontario Teachers Certificate of Qualification, a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Laurentian University. Also studied Law and Master of Criminology at the University of Ottawa.

He loved cottage life and was an avid fisherman, boater and sailor. He made his own fishing lures, calling them “Billy Baits”. We will always remember his famous fish frys. He named his sailboat in honor of his wife, Sharon. He received his ground school in Flying. Nature was a great love to him. Though Bill was limited to doing things in the last four years of his life, he kept on enjoying life to the best of his ability, until God took his hand.

Bill will always be truly loved and missed, but we believe he is at peace and free. Until we meet again.

We appreciate the many comforting words and genuine acts of kindness, from all that have reached out in this difficult time. We are deeply touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026.
