OUDSHOORN, Cornelia “Corrie” Oudshoorn

Our beloved mother, Cornelia “Corrie” Oudshoorn (nee den Haan), a woman of deep faith, passed away January 26th at the age of 95.
In her later years, Corrie resided in a memory care home where she was cared for with compassion and dignity. Despite the challenges mom faced, she continued to find joy in the presence of others -especially during visits with family, which meant the world to her.
Corrie will be missed more than words can say by her two daughters Hanneke (Greg Meredith) and Judith (Luigi Falbo) who will forever carry her love, teachings and strength with them.
She will be and remembered with love by her grandchildren Jaclyn (Justin Cummings), Danielle (Jamie Kosza) and Coral, and by her great grandchildren Carson, Cohen, Maverick and Korbin.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Henk Oudshoorn, and her parents Adam and Johanna den Haan (nee Spelt).
Mom lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love. A woman of strong Christian beliefs she carried her faith confidently, letting it guide her actions and the way she cared for others.
For 43 years Corrie dedicated herself to the YMCA where she left a lasting impact, and she rarely missed an opportunity to bring a smile to the faces of those around her with a joke or a kind word.
She especially loved her family at Central Church. She participated in many of the church programs, including the choir, Nairn Taylor knitting circle, and ladies bible studies.
Mom’s faith and love will live on through her family and the many lives she touched along the way.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM February 9th at Central Presbyterian Church in Cambridge, followed by a luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Central Church Restore the Roof campaign are appreciated.
Our family is grateful for the excellent care Mom received from the staff at St Andrews Terrace, most especially the staff in the Glen Oaks wing where Mom lived.
