OUELLETTE , Toni Ouellette (née Segeren)

A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Blenheim, Toni Ouellette passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, with family at her side, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 89. Toni was born in The Netherlands, the daughter of the late Bert and Anna (née Vandongen) Segeren.

She was the beloved wife of 37 years to Leo Ouellette and predeceased by her first husband of 27 years, Camiel Debusschere (1982). She is survived by her children Ron Debusschere (Shelley), Sharon Campbell (Marc), and Brian Debusschere (Heather). Toni was a loving stepmother to Roland Ouellette (Lisa), Michael Ouellette (Evelyn), Dennis Ouellette (Janice), Robert Ouellette (Laurie), and Roseanne Carota (Dino). Proud Grandma to 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Toni was the original owner-operator of Blenheim Variety and enjoyed serving the Blenheim community for many years. When not at the store, she was often found tending to her flower garden that encapsulated the entire backyard.

Toni will be remembered for her welcoming smile, compassionate nature, friendly disposition, and genuine understanding of people.

As per Toni’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim, on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Toni to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
