PANTALONE, Dino Anthony Pantalone
July 14, 1958 - July 5, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dino A. Pantalone on July 5, 2025, just days before his 67th birthday. He left us peacefully, surrounded by love, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dino was the beloved husband of Nilda Velit-Pantalone, stepfather to Giancarlo Mendoza (Carrie Wilson) and Renzo Mendoza (Ashley Michael), and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his sister, Tina Pantalone, and his brother, Rocky Pantalone.
Dino built his life and legacy from the ground up. He was the founder of Blackhawk Maintenance, a thriving landscaping company that has proudly served the community for 35 years. His work ethic and integrity left a lasting impact and that legacy will continue through his stepson Giancarlo, who now leads the company.
Few things brought Dino more joy than the game of golf. A skilled and avid golfer, he was a longtime member at Sleepy Hollow Golf and Country Club in Stouffville. The course was his sanctuary—where he bonded with friends and passed on his love for the game to his stepchildren.
His first great love, however, was hockey. As a talented young goalie growing up in Thornhill, Dino twice competed in the prestigious Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament. A lifelong fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, Dino never missed a chance to cheer them on—but his greatest joy came from his grandkids’ budding love of the game.
Those lucky enough to know Dino will remember him most for his warmth, his infectious laugh, and his remarkable sense of humour. He brought joy, jokes, and lighthearted mischief to every occasion. His laughter echoed through holidays and gatherings with friends and family— and lives on in the stories and spirit of his stepchildren and grandchildren, who carry his playful nature forward.
A celebration of Dino’s life will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge Chapel on Saturday July 19, 2025 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Terry Fox Foundation or SickKids Hospital would be appreciated.

Dino was deeply loved, and he loved deeply in return.
Though he may be gone from our sight,
he will never be absent from our hearts.
