PARSONS, Joyce Miriam Parsons

Entered into rest at Rosebridge Manor, December 03, 2025, in her 87th year, Joyce Miriam Parsons. Loving wife of Ronald (Slim) Parsons for 63 years, and mother of Robert (Virginia). Predeceased by her parents Hazel Celia Presley (nee Baker) and Robert Augustus Presley. Also predeceased by sister-in-law Doreen Parsons, Windam Parsons, and John Parsons. Fondly remembered by former sister-in-law Rita.

Joyce spent many years in the food industry. Working at I.G.A in Perth as the head cashier for several years. She took a break for over a year when her, Slim and Robert moved to Alliston, so Slim could complete a posting at Camp Borden as a Military Policeman.

They returned to Smiths Falls area, and it wasn’t long until she accepted a position with Loblaws. Fairly quickly she rose once again to head cashier, and continued working there until the Loblaws in Smiths Falls closed. She mentored numerous young ladies over the years in the proper way of dealing with customers. Over the years she greatly enjoyed those she worked with and for.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Smiths Falls Campus of the Perth and Smiths Falls Hospitals. Also, the administration and staff at Rosebridge Manor, in Easton’s Corners. The care and attention that was given to Joyce was excellent.

As per Joyce’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and her family is grieving privately. Anyone wishing to make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated to give to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
