PATOINE, Karen Kim Patoine

With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Kim Patoine on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Bluewater Health, at the age of 67.

Beloved wife of Paul Patoine for 48 years. Loving mother of Michael (Cassandra) Patoine. Cherished sister of Mark Anderson, Tootsie McDuff, Faye Audet, Ross Anderson, and their spouses. Dear sister-in-law of Stan Patoine, Claire Larocque, Denise Kennedy, and Fran Donnelly and their spouses.

Karen will be deeply missed by her extended family and friends. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: doing puzzles, reading, gardening, and traveling—especially with her sister Tootsie. Her exceptional baking left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Karen and Paul moved “down south” from Northern Ontario and loved spending time together along the beaches of Lake Huron.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation are appreciated (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
