PATON, Gerald Paton

Gerry was above all else a devoted family man. He cherished time spent with his loved ones whether enjoying summers in Canada or winters in Florida. An avid golfer from the age of 10, he played nearly every week of his life including right up to the day before his stroke. He also enjoyed pickleball, lawn bowling, and squash embracing an active lifestyle that kept him engaged and social.

Known for his caring nature, Gerry was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His sense of community extended well beyond family. He was actively involved with Civitan International and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul giving his time and energy to causes that uplifted others. Deeply rooted in his faith, Gerry attended church regularly and often shared meals and friendship with local priests living his values through both action and fellowship.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 1710 Scugog Street, Port Perry on Saturday September 27, 2025 at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on the same day at 1 p.m.
